Summary of Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced tech with industrial maintenance experience; injection molding experience, and needs to be familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic and some electrical troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to solve maintenance issues from the start .Troubleshoot and repair electronics used in motor drive and machine controls, including dedicated hardwired electronic controls, circuit boards, programmable controllers and OEM microcomputer-based controllers. Have an understanding of PLC, AC/DC motors, tachometers, motor starters, control relay, circuit protection and other electrical components. Troubleshoot and/or repair power distribution equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronics used in presses, robots, and secondary equipment.
*Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate vision systems.
*Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic flow and pressure compensating systems.
*Understanding of injection molding cycle. Able to diagnose and correct problems.
*Read, draw and/or update blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
*Use of test equipment: digital multifunction meter, AC/DC ammeter, micrometers, calipers
*Completes repairs in a timely and safe manner, observing all Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures.
*Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.
*Assists in the training of apprentices and new employees.
*Evaluates and suggests ways to eliminate reoccurring problems.
*Documents supply usage to maintain supply and spare parts inventory.
*Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
*Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
*Pushes buttons and presses keys on robot controller, teach pendant, and programmable controller to program automated machinery, such as robots, to operate automated machinery, to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
*Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
*Maintains good housekeeping in and around work area.
*Support and Assist in all safety compliance
*Understand Maintenances key role in Quality performance of plastic molding
*Reacts to change productively and works well with others.
*Utilizes basic welding and machining skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret complex electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints.
Must have a valid State-issued Driver's License and Forklift License.
Completion of Paulson Interactive Training within two years.
